What role can social media play in breaking down the central state? Is it the holy grail of public service reform?Join Rishi Saha and Janan Ganesh as they discuss their view on the role of social media in the ‘post-bureaucratic age’. We will discuss the role of mass communication and distributed social networks in democratising public services, the value of opening up public data, whether social media can revive social capital as well as helping us get more for less in our public services. We will also ask whether the very success of the PBA depends on the use of technology and on getting social media right.
